The process of learning with Photon at home

Out of the box
Photon can't do anything
While using a mobile app
the child teaches the robot everything from scratch
By solving challenges
Photon learn new abilities
After completing all of the challenges
the child knows the basics of programming and understands how the technology works

Created with psychologists

Every element of Photon – his skills, user interfaces and history – was developed in close cooperation with a team of psychologists at the SWPS University. The robot has been designed together with children, thanks to which it is able to stimulate their development in the most appropriate way.

A robot with an interesting story

Unfortunately … Photon, when traveling in space, collided with the Asteroid. As a result of a hard landing, he lost all of his abilities. Children are the only ones who can help him learn everything again.

The storyline in the application consists of 10 chapters, providing children with many weeks of great and developing fun. In each chapter children take part in the adventures of Photon, helping him to overcome problems and learn new skills.

Thanks to the use of the gamification mechanisms, all knowledge about new technologies is passed on to children in a subconscious way.

Over 200 developing challenges

In each chapter, children face 20 challenges related to the gradual learning of the basics of programming.

Learning trough experiments

Theory and exercises? Definitely not! Children learn best when they do not know that they are learning. That is why Photon provides children with knowledge about complex technology through its adventures and experiments.

Your child can handle it!

A system of visualtutorials makes Photon suitable for every child, regardless of their age. It does not require significant parent help.

24 months of research and testing with a group of over 3,000 children, led to an intuitive application interface was developed and 4 innovative robot programming methods. Each of them is ideally suited to the diverse manual and perceptual skills of children aged 5-12.

Not everything at once

In order to provide children with proper stimulation and gradual acquisition of knowledge, the application prevents solving too many levels at once. Photon loses energy for taking part in each of the challenges. When the energy runs out, the robot has to rest and the children can rest from the tablet at this time.

Reading is not a barrier

The Photon Robot application uses the Amazon Polly text-to-speech system, thanks to which it is able to read the instructions contained in the application in 47 voices and 24 languages.

More than one child at home?

It’s not a problem! With one robot, the application allows you to create profiles for each child separately and it stores the progress of the robot in it.

Thanks to this, your kids will be able to develop the robot in a personalized way without disturbing each other.
